Long Island Kid-Friendly Events

Long Island Celebrates National Anti-Boredom Month

Do your kids wait anxiously for the start of summer vacation only to start complaining about boredom by July? That was the inspiration for designating July as National Anti-Boredom Month. Celebrate with your kids at these great family-friendly events and activities around Long Island recommended by our REALTORS®.

  1. Long Island Children's Museum - 11 Davis Ave., Garden City 11530
Want to keep the kids entertained and sneak a little learning in on the side? The Long Island Children's Museum, just minutes away from Garden City homes for sale, is full of interactive exhibits to promote exploration and skill development for all ages. Learning spaces include 14 exhibit galleries, a 140-seat theater, and four classroom-size studios. In addition, "Our Garden" is the summer-only backyard exhibit that includes a water play area. Hours are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday except for July and August, when the museum is open seven days a week. General admission is $14.
