Lace up your hiking boots! November 17 is National Hiking Day, and if ever there was a great time to hit the trail, this is it. Here on Long Island, we're blessed to be surrounded by some of the most picturesque hiking trails in the Northeast, and our REALTORS® are excited to share some of their favorites!

  The name says it all. Trail View State Park is a 400-acre, 7.4-mile linear park that offers sweeping views of Long Island's hardwood forests, wide-open fields, and rich marshlands. The trail straddles the line between Suffolk and Nassau counties, and offers some of the best hiking opportunities in both, just minutes from many Nassau County homes for sale. The park's wealth of wildlife habitat also makes it a top spot for bird watching in the region.
