Long Island Restaurants for Sunday BrunchSunday brunch with family and friends can turn an ordinary weekend into a special event. Long Island has no shortage of delightful restaurants serving up a delicious brunch menu. Our real estate agents share some of their favorite Sunday brunch spots with a perfect blend of food and ambiance.

  1. Jonathan's Restaurant - 2499 Jericho Turnpike, New Hyde Park
    Jonathan's Restaurant is billed as "An American Bar & Grille" and their brunch menu includes regional favorites from all parts of the country. Choose crab cakes Benedict from the Atlantic Seaboard, enjoy the Southern flavor of pecan-crusted chicken and waffles or take a trip to the Pacific Northwest with a smoked organic salmon omelet. Champagne and mimosas come with a complimentary refill for only $7. Brunch hours are 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. and reservations are accepted.

  2. Rustic Root - 7927 Jericho Turnpike, Woodbury
    Rustic Root is as casual and inviting as it sounds. Executive Chef Tom Gloster's creativity earned him a spot as champion on Food Network's Chopped, and Rustic Root's brunch menu reflects his love for traditional comfort food with an innovative twist. Bacon is made in-house and dishes such as oven-roasted chicken wings, lemon-ricotta pancakes, and skillet cornbread are made with fresh locally-sourced ingredients. Several vegetarian and gluten-free items are available. Brunch hours are 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. and reservations are accepted for Mother's Day only.

  3. The Restaurant at the Maidstone Hotel - 207 Main Street, East Hampton
    Lush Atlantic seafood is the star of the brunch menu served by the Restaurant at the Maidstone Hotel. Select from lobster, Peconic Gold oysters, littleneck clams, jumbo shrimp and tuna tartare a la carte or in seafood towers serving up to four people. Omelets and eggs Benedict are available for traditional breakfast lovers. Planning a romantic special occasion? Book a room or private cottage for the evening before or after. Brunch hours are 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. and reservations are accepted. 

  4. Big Daddy's - 1 Park Lane, Massapequa 
    "Laissez les bon temps roulez" at Big Daddy's, where the Blues Brunch menu features a distinct New Orleans flavor. Zesty dishes such as gumbo, shrimp and grits, chicken fried steak and blackened gator will transport you to the heart of the bayou. All egg dishes include a side of decadent French bread toast. Entrees include a complimentary Bloody Mary, mimosa or screwdriver, and you can upgrade to bottomless brunch cocktails for just $15. Brunch hours are 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. and reservations are accepted. 

  5. Thyme - 8 Tower Place, Roslyn
    Located in a two-story vintage home overlooking Gerry Park and Roslyn Duck Pond, Thyme is truly a place to get away from it all for a couple of hours. The $22 prix fixe menu includes choices such as Nova Scotia smoked salmon, cream cheese and chive scramble and Thyme's take on eggs Benedict served on a potato cake with Black Forest ham and sautéed mushrooms. Pasta, burgers, and salads are available if you're in the mood for lunch. Brunch hours are 11:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. and reservations are accepted.
