Big-box retailers have become popular places to shop, but that doesn't mean we should forget our local small businesses. The Saturday after Thanksgiving is designated as Small Business Saturday each year, and it falls on November 26 this year. It's a great reminder to support small businesses, many of which have been negatively affected by the pandemic. You'll be supporting your local economy and helping preserve unique businesses. And they're the perfect spots to pick up interesting holiday gifts or a treat for yourself.

Gluten is a protein found in wheat and some other grains. While most people can digest it without an issue, others react severely to it and therefore need to follow a gluten-free diet. Awareness around gluten-free diets has really grown over the past few years. November is now Gluten-Free Awareness Month, a chance to talk about gluten-free diets and also celebrate the many restaurants and food companies that have created delicious gluten-free foods. If you're looking for a Long Island restaurant to celebrate with a gluten-free meal, our REALTORS® have some suggestions.

Our REALTORS® love cupcakes just as much as you do, and today they'll be sharing some of their favorite places to get them around Long Island. Make sure to head out and get one before the big day!

Craft beer has never been more popular, and it seems like great new breweries are often popping up around Long Island. It doesn't matter what style of beer you prefer; breweries provide an opportunity to try different types of beer in a fun environment. Plus, many of them have great food too!
Our REALTORS® are always on the lookout for new local breweries. With National Beer Lover's Day coming up September 7, we recommend you honor the date by visiting one of our favorite Long Island beer destinations.

To fish, you need the right supplies. From bait to line, your equipment makes a difference in the fish you catch. Luckily, there are several excellent bait and tackle shops on Long Island. Our REALTORS® recommend stopping by one of the following shops before your next fishing adventure.
