Both my daughter and I love this school. The test scores are really high right now. There are music classes art class, beneficial clubs and school groups for the children. Including eyeglass club and homework help. This school is always looking for ways to involve parents, with plenty of PTA sponsored events and family programs. This is a great neighborhood with wonderful families, come see for yourself, you will be pleased.

This school is wonderful. I went here from 1991-1995 and now my daughter attends the school. If I have a problem, it is promptly addressed and taken care of in an appropriate manner and I am completely satisfied with the education my daughter is receiving. I love the staff and feel welcomed whenever I visit, which is frequent as I am also a member of the PTA board.

Atkinson is fantastic school. The administrators, teachers and staff make sure that this is a safe learning environment for their students.

Harrasement: I must say that I read the two reviews below and this is not the case in this school. In order for your child to be suspended she has to engage in some sort of activity that warrented the suspension. This school has a NO toleance for this sort of activity, so this is totally unbelievable. There are many school that have bullies and unwanted behavior from students, this is not what you base a school rating on. You are bitter and should leave Freeport if you deont like it because it is a good school. As for the after school programs, many school wish they had the spots and activities that we have to offer in our school. Two thumbs up to our new principal and all of his hard work. Congrads to our Cheerleading team, LICCA Champions 2009 and 2010!!!

As a parent of a 7th grader at Dodd I must say that I have been very pleased with my daughters performance. Not only does she love her teachers, she is having a great time during her beginning years as a teen. Her grades have been outstanding!

This school is a fantastic School to enroll your student in. As I attended Leo F. Giblyn in the years 2000-2004, I can attest to this. I am currently a senior in high school, and I wrote about Giblyn in my College essay. I have been accepted into Florida State University and without the experience and ;lessons learned in my tender youth at Giblyn I would not be where I am now.

I can't say enough about how pleased we are with New Visions. My son is now in second grade and for the last year we've had a great experience in this school. The school staff are wonderful and the teachers are incredibly committed. It s been our experience that the Principal and staff all know the children by name and make each child feel welcomed and cared for. Staff have an open door policy and are open to addressing parents concern at any time. Academically, I've been very pleased and feel that my child not only gets great instruction in the standard subjects but he also has exposure to a great variety of specials, including library, music, computer class, art and gym. This 'museum school' is a wonderful environment for kids, with great diversity and a beautiful, bright and colorful building. Parent interaction is highly encouraged and there's an active PTA.
