You would be extremely happy to send your child to Hewitt...This is my daughter's 2nd year here and I have been more than satisfied with the level of academia...the language arts program is superb...The involvement of the staff and the method in which they guide the children through their comfort zone yet always have them striving for the next level is a credit to their abilities...I was torn between private school and sending my daughter to Hewitt when Kindergarten approached and after careful consideration I am not disappointed with my decision...I also give credit to the 6 day week whereas, for instance, the children go to physical education on days 1,3 & 5...Book Exchange through the language arts program in the library and Stellar on day 4...as well as music on days 4 and 6 and Art on day 2...It seems confusing but it is a well rounded program...

My children are very happy at Riverside. It is a small school with small class size and a high student to teacher ratio. All the children in the school know each other. The teachers are generally very experienced and have high expectations for the students. Parents are friendly and very involved in the PTA and school community. The school is located in a great little area of town.

I am currently a student who goes here and to be honest not many people like it.I personally hate it. The kids are not the nicest like most middle school i guess. The work is a fair amount and if you work hard you will be fine. There are some mean teachers but also many nice ones. Dont want to sound like a downer just wan to let you know before you decide to go there.

I attended South Side High School between the fall of 1997, and the spring of 2001. While I struggled with the usual 'teenage' issues while I was in attendance there, I cannot deny that the teachers and administrators at the school worked very hard to make the school a comfortable and safe place. The Academics at South Side are positively stellar--I began attending college in the Fall of 2001, and I cannot begin to describe how well prepared I was for the college curriculum as a result of my academic experiences at South Side High School. I still try to keep in contact with the teachers and mentors who supported and encouraged me while I was at South Side High School. It's the sort of place that grows on you, and becomes a second home, really. ~ Elizabeth Boylan, Class of 2001

Watson is an amazing school. The teachers and staff are nurturing and caring. The principal is attentive and involved in every aspect of each child's education. I have a had three children fortunate enough to go through Watson. Each child was a different student and yet each of their needs was always met not matter what level of learning they were at. The doors are always open to parents and their are plenty of opportunities as a parent to be involved. Their are two classes per grade with small class numbers in each. Their is a very high teacher to student ratio which means a lot of one-on-one time with each student. I feel fortunate to have had my children taught by the teachers at Watson.

WILSON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Quality of academic is very teacher dependent, and teachers are overall extremely good, with a few well known execeptions. Caring, stimulating, appropriate, and sensitive to the needs of the individual child. Administration has weakened over the past 2-3 years, but for a long time, this school was precedent setting in its programs supporting diversity and mainstreaming. Music is available, as is art, but not strongly supported. Not enough space to have a full program. Parent involvement through PTA appears to be mainly social, and is very dominated by a few personalities.
