Our second daughter completed k-3 last year and our youngest daughter began kindergarten this school year (2004-2005). We were pleased with this school throughout the last four years. The principal has a good presence during the school days and at all the PTA meetings. My daughter's teachers were all very experienced although a couple have since retired. The PTA is very active and the children have had many field trips to enhance their learning experience.

We love this school! The teachers are amazing and Mrs. Marino is wonderful. The staff is generally courteous. I was very surprised to see a rating of 5 out of 10.

A nurturing, caring, enviornment. Great public school experience. Our child has grown and blossomed at this school. He actually WANTS TO GO to school now!

My daughter is in Third grade and has had a wonderful experience. Saint Patricks provides a loving, safe environment for children while nurturing their faith. In regards to some of the 'bad' reviews on here....ALL schools have their own set of problems. Just because you are paying extra money does not mean people in the front office etc are not allowed to have bad days. Grow up! Again, every school has its share of 'cranky' office workers and teachers. All my nephews and nieces that have gone through Saint Patricks have had VERY successful high school and college careers!

it is a great school to go to. The eduation is excellent. If you live in the Cold Spring Harbor/Lloyd Harbor area, this is the school to pick.

My son entered kindergarten into the dual language program offered at oakwood sept 2006. Both k teachers have been terrific! they keep on top of everything. There is a clear balance in their teachings of the primary language english, and 2nd language, spanish. My son is already able to read in both languages(ofcourse with continued practice after school). Who said american kids aren't capable of learning 2 languages in public schools as does the rest of the world. So far we've had positive experiences with this school and look forward to our 2nd son entering k into the dual language program this fall.

My family has relocated here a few years ago. My daughter exceeded at this school and my son was in the middle school and needed some services, so I know both sides. The school system is very much on top of their game. The teachers, parents and coaches are very involved witht he kids. My experience has been great here and the families have made us feel very much at home. The music department is great..my daughter learned the flute in band and plays very well. My son is into the sports program and loves it. The MS and HS has won many championships. I think the reason this district has exceeded is because they are a smaller district and the kids don't get lost in the system. They are very much on top of their game . A great place to live..... GO ELWOOD!!!
