Two of my three children attended several of other Sachem elementary schools, which were good, but this one is the best! The sense of community here is overwhelming. My last child spent all 6 years here and it is going to be difficult to leave. We have lots of wonderful memories and great learning experiences to take with us. Thank you so much to all the teachers and staff members who have made my child's elementary education experience the best I could ask for. The PTA is far and above any other, many activities for all age levels to bring the community together.

Hiawatha is a great school! My son was entering 3rd grade when we moved here and was alittle scared about the new school. Dr. Mauro, the Principal, gave him a tour in the summer and calmed his nerves. Bravo to Dr. Mauro and the rest of Hiawatha's staff. Qualified, caring teachers and a good group of kids equals success for everyone. Two years later my son tells me Hiawatha is the best school he's has ever been to and has the best friends! Brand new playground a plus too, yeay!

Sachem is a great school for your child. It has an exceptional AP program, sports, fine arts, and other extra curricular activities. There is something for everyone there.

There is a true sense of community and family at Slocum. There is a tremendous amount of parental involvement and pride. The students are challenged and cared for. I love this school.

I absolutely love this school because there are friendly teachers and students who are always there for me. Even if a student is not my friend, he/she is always there, proving that the school has instilled good virtues in the students. So I believe that this school is a great school with excellent teacher and parent coordination for making a bright future for each and every student. I hope more students get enrolled in Helen B. Duffield Elementary School.

The teachers here are outstanding, they have given my daughter and son the confidence to go into the world full speed. The 6th grade teachers are by far the best of the best. They are organized and listen to the parent's needs such as tutoring, and extra credit. My children passed every single test, thanks to the staff. Thier bathrooms are clean, the staff is nice, and the principal is fair and understand that kids are kids. They have great, easy-to-read clocks in every single room.
