Our child has been at this school since he was 3 years old. He is now finishing his last year (6th grade) in this school and his experience there has been outstanding. The education has been amazing right from his 1st year there. He and 3 of his classmates (out of 7) were able to test for Hunter exam (an honor in itself). These same 4 children have each been given Academic scholarships to a local private school to attend the 7th grade there - truly an honor and a representation of the outstanding education especially in the 4th -6th grades. Whenever there was a challenge, the director, took control of the situation and made sure the problem was resolved. My wife and I both highly recommend this school to anyone who values an amazing experience and education for their child.

My daughter is very shy so I was worried about sending her to OLM pre-k. But everything turns out to be fine, and she enjoys OLM a lot. What surprises me is the individual attention given to each child. Every once a while I got a note from the teacher providing feedbacks on my child's learning progress. For example, once I got a note from the teacher saying that my daughter can recognize all the colors except 'grey' and I should help her with it. And once the feedback is about her problem with numbers not in sequence. I constantly receive feedbacks during the semester so can help resolve the issue instead of waiting until the end of the semester. There are often, in not daily, classworks brougth home with all different subjects, including numbers, letters, arts and crafts. I feel that they are trying to develop all areas for the kids instead of just focusing on studying the books. I am a busy working mom and usually don't get home until 7:30pm. It is very important for me to know that my daughter is in good hand and the teachers are helping her with her learning and providing timely feedback to me. What else can parents ask for? I highly recommend OLM.

My children go to this school and I am very pleased with the quality of the instruction. The principal is very dedicated and works hard to make sure that the school provides a nurturing environmnent while also giving students the tools to become well rounded individuals. New programs are added, existing ones are constantly reviewed & updated, resources are continuously improved (textbooks, activities, etc) and the school feels like a close-knit community.

My son loves this school. The work can be very long and difficult but he loves it and always wants to study. Before in the 6th grade he would always slack off and not take teachers seriously, but now he studies for 6 hours of the day. When ever he comes home he praises his teachers and his grades, plus he is not afraid to talk about what the did wrong or right that school day. Now he is in honors and is getting good and high enough grade for schools like townsharris.

My son will be entering kindergarten this upcoming fall. Everything that I've seen and experienced so far of this school has been excellent. I definitely think it's in the league with Manhattan's private schools - (we have some experience - my son went to a preschool program on the west side, which was wonderful). The KF School is excellent and my son just can't wait to start!

Forest hills is one of the safer public schools in the area and really stands out when you compare it to other high schools with fights and cutting class. The professors are there to help the students and classes range widely in difficulty to help with strugling students. Students who attend are studious.
