Laurel Hill is an excellent school. The small class sizes (approx. 15 students per class), and the fact that there are two teachers in every classroom, ensures each student receives a wealth of personal attention and instruction. Each child is looked at as an individual, and programs are tailored to let each child excel at his or her own level. It is not uncommon for children to be working at one or two levels above grade level because of the personal instruction. The teachers are completely dedicated and extremely nurturing. They go above and beyond to educate the children and provide a warm, nurturing, safe environment. The staff is amazing and makes a point to know each child and their family on a personal, caring level. The Starks, who run the school, uphold the highest standards and are very diligent in making sure the academic curriculum is top-notch. As does Mrs. Karchmar, who is the director of the PreSchool. Laurel Hill is an excellent choice for your child's academic success.

Although this is a large elementary school, the class sizes remain small and the principal is very involved with all her students. It has a small school feel. There are plenty of extra curricular activities which I feel are so important. It also has a fanastic music dept. that you would never believe 4th graders could play in an orchestra and sound amazing. Overall I am enjoying my time at Arrowhead, my DD is a graduate, now in the JrHigh and my son is in the kindergarten, which is a new beautiful wing. Parental involvement remains strong, there are always more than enough parents willing to help with classes and trips. We feel very welcome in the school and the PTA makes a big difference in the quality of programs.

My 3 children are very happy at Nassakeag. Their teachers do a wonderful job keeping parents involved and aware of what is going on in the classroom. The PTA does a great job of providng fun evening activities like Multicultural Night and Lip Sync Night.

Paul J. Gelinas is an excellent school. The teachers abilily to reach the students and get amazing results is what a great school is all about.

School is exceptional if you have a child withn special needs or is gifted. Yet if your child sits in the middle and needs ome help you have to fight for it. The teachers are usually willing to give extra help.

Those of you who attend this school and belittle it have no idea as to how many more opportunities you have had by virtue of being in this school district. Having been raised in a blue collar district where we had to fight for programs, I appreciate all that the 3Vs and WMHS has had to offer for my children. There is a degree of friendly competition amongst my oldest's fellow students which made them strive to work even harder. There have been some wonderful teachers who truly care about their students and have a passion for the subject they teach. There have been some who are less than stellar; but one has to ask how much is the teacher vs. the subject matter vs. the group of students in a particular class? I wish I had 1/2 the opportunities WMHS students have.
