My daughter is currently in Pre-Ka and I am extremely pleased with this school. If finance is not an option, this the the best option available for giving your kids a solid foundation. I have never seen a more warm and loving school environment. The teachers are excellent and the Director is superb. All the students are greeted by the director as they enter in the mornings and when they leave. She knows all the names and faces of these kids which was the first thing that blew me away. I find the teachers to be very communicative and the parents are very involved. My daughter enjoys going to school and that is more than I could ask. Their curriculum includes; music, french, art, gym and circle time for the younger ones. Their program is designed to develop independence and leadership skills. If you seek a balanced learning environment this is it.

Whitestone Academy is a very great school 99 % of that school is passing most of the kids graduate and go off onto good colleges. I am happy I sent both of my sons there now one is a professor at Harvard and the other son is a top of the line lawyer if it was wasn't for Whitestone academy they would have ordinary jobs like me and you.

This is a wonderful school. The principal is involved with the children and works with them. The teachers are dedicated to these children. Its a great environment for the kids. They enjoy themselves. These children are well prepared for high school. There is a seamless transition into high school. You can't ask for more than that. They are well prepared for the work volume, the reports, the vocabulary etc. My child found high school so easy to maneuver. My husband and are well pleased with the curriculum and dedication of the staff.

Overall the school is "GREAT". Both of my daughters have attended the school, (one graduated last year) and I am very happy with their experience in the school. The teachers are all excellent and are very involved with the children. HOWEVER, I strongly agree with the postings related to the principle being cold, uncaring and ready to dismiss issues related to my children. I am a divorced dad who is very involved in my children's education and the principal has made even the smallest requests extremely difficult to the point that I am considering legal action against her. Do not take this as a bad review of the school....just don't expect anything from the administration.

This school is excellent! P.S 193 has high standards and very good teachers, that care for there students, if it was there own. I give this school and excellent rating.

My child had a great experience in this school. So to the two complaining parents: 1. Your child Was the problem. 2. Maybe education is not a priority in your home. 3. Thanks for the transfer, although now your child becomes a problem in another school. Take care!

this school is the best!!! there is no other like it!!! i think that the two parents that are saying bad things about it have no clue or there children are just not doing well in this school- why not then send them to another? if the school is so bad take your children out of it! this school is so caring and my children adore everything about even my friends with children in private school are jealous and are thinking of taking their children and putting them in this school!!!!! ps 209 is amazing and they have so much to offer for the children--- their plays are amazing and the kids are wonderful in them, this school is one of the best schools in queens--- dare to find another one like it believe me you wont be able to--- ps209 is above all the rest!!!! bellieve me !!!!!

its a gr8 school..just expect sum more sports..for kids.like afterschool affiliations..may be tennis,basketball..would be gr8
